THE MOOSE IS BACK!

It’s been a long COVID winter but the weather is warming up in the valley and it’s time to start thinking about escaping the summer heat! We hope you will think about coming back to the mountain for your summer retreat.

Mario and I both endured COVID. It was a long process – 3 weeks – but we were blessed that it didn’t get into our lungs. I don’t know about you, but I have been buying fabric like crazy! I’m excited to reopen the cabin and get sewing. We look forward to having you and your friends up to relax in the pines. We are still being cautious; therefore, and will not be providing full-service retreats at this time; however, we can still help you make plans for food during your stay. We have menus for some great local restaurants and would be happy to manage any orders you place by picking up the order and bringing it to you at the cabin. We can also provide dinners you can pop in the oven when you are ready to eat.

We’re sad to say that Rim Country Quilts in Overgaard has closed; however, there are quilt shops just 45 minutes away in beautiful Pinetop/Lakeside. And don’t forget to stop by the Copper Needle in Payson as you drive up to The Quilted Moose Retreat.

If you would like added fun, we are pretty sure Zane Grey’s Clubhouse will return with weekly music jams. There is also the likelihood of music at the park, a truly kick back, relaxing afternoon of music and mountain breezes.

Get with your friends, look at the calendar and give me a call to book your time in the mountains at the Quilted Moose Mountain Retreat. 480-797-8499

See you soon!

My husband has been wanting me to retire; however, I didn't know what I would do with all that time. A friend told me about a quilt retreat she attended and I had that "AHA!" moment! I can do that . So I started updating the our cabin in Heber/Overgaard, AZ to accommodate guests and provide a work room. I retired from Mesa Community College in June 2019 and spent the rest of this year creating business cards, flyers, visiting quilt stores and attending events where I could share what I have to offer. I hope you all come and take advantage of our little piece of heaven. By the way, I LOVE TO COOK and you will be the beneficiary of my talents.
